大连理工大学海天学者 The advances to ever-taller high-rise buildings are often accompanied byirregular geometric shapes, which increase the building’s vulnerability toforces due to wind and earthquake. The creation of the most efficientstructural form to withstand lateral and gravity loads on modern high-risestructures is generally a complicated and time-consuming process. Thisseminar presents the state-of-the-art computational techniques for optimalstructural topology and element sizing design of tall building structures.Evolutionary-based optimization methods along with recent advances andapplications will be presented.
