Bioengineering Research in the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering at Leeds University

Abstract:

The research within the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering at Leeds University will be reviewed. These include Joint Replacement, Functional Spinal Interventions and Tissue Re-Engineering. Emphasis will be placed on the collaborations between multidisciplinary fields in engineering, biology and medicine; and the integration between complementary approaches including experimental simulation and computational modelling. Examples of research will be selected and briefly presented to highlight the impact of the research on academic, industrial and clinical communities.
